Russia is facing numerous health challenges that require a transition to a preventive approach to medical care. As high technologies rapidly progress, the state plays a key role in the transformation of the healthcare system using artificial intelligence. AI technologies facilitate not only improvements in the speed and quality of diagnosing and treating health conditions, but also a substantial increase in the efficacy of preventive actions.
In our study, we review the policies of various countries on the development of artificial intelligence in healthcare and identify the most successful strategies and practices. The study emphasizes the importance of regulating the process of collecting, storing and working with personal data, developing human capital, improving the regulatory system, elevating the performance capacity of supercomputing technology and consolidating public and private sources of financing.
